Preparation:

Step 1:
Preheat the oven to 200 °C (convection oven 180 °C). Prepare pasta as described on the package.
Step 2:
Peel and finely chop the onion and the garlic. Remove the seeds from the chili pepper and also chop finely. Wash cherry tomatoes well, drain and cut in half. Grate the Parmesan cheese and coarsely dice the mozzarella cheese. Pluck basil leaves, wash, dab dry and chop finely.
Step 3:
In a large frying pan, heat olive oil and sauté onion, garlic and chili pepper. Add strained tomatoes and let the sauce simmer gently for a few minutes. Then stir in the cream and grated Parmesan cheese and season the sauce with salt, pepper and a good pinch of sugar.
Step 4:
When the noodles are ready, drain them and add to the sauce. Remove pan from heat and fold in halved cherry tomatoes and half the mozzarella cubes. Cut basil leaves into strips and mix in as well. Put everything together in a baking dish, sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes on the middle shelf.
