Preparation:

Step 1:
Wash, quarter, core and cut the apples into small pieces. Wash the lemon hot, dry, grate the zest and squeeze the lemon. Mix the apple pieces with the lemon zest, lemon juice, cinnamon and maple syrup in a pot and steam for about 10 minutes. Pour the apple mixture into a baking dish.
Step 2:
Mix the flour with the baking powder and mix with sugar, cinnamon, vanilla sugar, salt and cold butter to make crumbles. Chop the nuts and mix with the oatmeal. Spread the crumble on the apple mixture.
Step 3:
Bake the apple crip in a preheated oven at 200 degrees (convection oven 180 degrees) on the middle shelf for about 25-30 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
